Today is the transit of Venus and it won't happen again for about105 years. I went out before with a safe solar viewer.
Venus isn’t big but it looks like a black dot. When I went out it was on the
bottom right. If we didn’t use the safe solar viewers we would get blind. We're
making the most of it because the next time it happens is in 2117, so we can’t
see it again. I went out and now
the sun has moved and Venus has moved a little bit. We have looked at it four
times and it hasn’t moved that much. It will be at the top at quarter to five
and when it finishes it will be back into space where it lives.
